The Benzie Grand B&B is a 1869 Italianate American farmhouse filled with
comfort and charm featuring country elegance with a flair for the unique.
This jewel contains some of the home's original furnishings, as well as an 1800s
grand piano in its original location. The history of families who have owned this
home is long and distinguished. We hope to enter this home in the National Register of Historic Places!
Accommodations . . .
Each of our three unique bedrooms is offered as a suite with bath
and features top-of-the-line bedding and bath linens.
Note that the rooms are on the second floor, typical of a restored Victorian era
Michigan home.
Open April through October.
Rates:
• Double occupancy room: $120 per night with breakfast, or $100 without.
• Single occupancy room: $110 per night with breakfast, or $100 without.
• Special reduced rate for "artists!"
• Reduced rate if staying for more that three nights.
We have a Bunkhouse
available for
two adults
or two kids,
$75 / night
with breakfast,
or $65 without.
Sleeping accomodations may also be available for one adventurous
person in the Tower at $75 per night with breakfast, or $65 without.

Northwestern Michigan is frequently referred to as God's Country,
exemplified by the historical village of Benzonia, MI – boyhood home of Bruce Catton,
known for his Pulitzer prize winning novel "A Stillness at Appomatox."
The Benzie Grand was once a Catton family home. The village of Benzonia is featured
in the Catton novel "Waiting for the Morning Train."

Country elegance in a unique historic setting
The Benzie Grand B and B is a charming 1890's restored Italianate American farmhouse with
lovely antique-filled rooms featuring1800's symphony grand piano, and an enclosed
porch for relaxing with a lemonade or wine.
The house sits well off the road in a park like setting providing
plenty of parking with easy access to the two-acre property.
Located in Benzonia and nearby the resort towns of Beulah and
Frankfort.
Hosts: Nancy and Tom Marshall (owners of the former Summerplace
in Frankfort).
Cancellations must be made 10 days prior to planned arrival
Receipt of your check for deposit is confirmation of your rooms

Location . . .
We are located at 6756 Traverse Avenue, a few blocks south
and west of the intersection of US-31 and M-115, in Benzonia, Michigan.
Directions...
From Frankfort — take M-115 east to the traffic signal in Benzonia. Turn right
on US-31 and go one block to Traverse Avenue. Turn right (west) on Traverse Avenue
and go about 1.5 blocks to 6756. The Benzie Grand is on the right (north) side of
the street.
From the north — take US-31 one block south past the traffic signal in Benzonia
to Traverse Avenue. Turn right (west) on Traverse Avenue and go about 1.5 blocks
to 6756. The Benzie Grand is on the right (north) side of the street.
From the south — take US-31 "up the hill" into Benzonia, and watch
for Traverse Avenue on the left. Traverse Avenue is two short blocks before (south
of) the traffic light. Turn left (west) on Traverse Avenue and go about 1.5 blocks
to 6756. The Benzie Grand is on the right (north) side of the street.
NOTE: West of and outside of Benzonia, Traverse Avenue is called
River Road and goes to Frankfort-Elberta. East of and outside Benzonia, Traverse
Avenue is called Homestead Road and heads straight east for many miles.
